Fastening systems for high demands on hygiene and industrial washability

Workwear that is industrially washed is subject to special requirements. For this reason, pushbutton closure systems made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel are the best solution.

In addition to intensive wear and tear, the washing process plays a decisive role in the service life and performance of the products. Washing substances and cyclic dewatering presses can degrease and deform the functional parts and strongly impair the closure. The result is pushbuttons that can no longer be opened or closed. This results in high repair rates.

For this reason, YKK STOCKO FASTENERS offers various stainless steel versions of the ACTIVO, SOLIDO and PREMEO systems as PROTECT-S variants, which are best suited to the respective requirements.

ACTIVO PROTECT-S 36

THE TRIED-AND-TESTED ECONOMY SYSTEM

This pronged snap system, also known as Knipper®, is very safe and gentle on the fabric thanks to its properties. The five-fold prongs get anchored into the material without damaging it. ACTIVO PROTECT-S is highly suitable for elastic and/or lighter fabrics. The flat design, light weight and the smooth fastener offers a variety of possibilities. Depending on the application purpose, the individual system components can be combined in various ways.

THE RELIABLE S-SPRING SYSTEM

The SOLIDO PROTECT-S press stud system is based on the dual S-shaped spring wire made of stainless steel in the eyelet part. The smooth-running and precise fastener offers a broad application range for firmer textile materials and technical applications.

THE FORWARD-THINKING LONG-LIFE SYSTEM

Press studs that undergo industrial washing need to meet stricter requirements. This includes the high mechanical load exerted by the dewatering presses. The opening values may not change either as a result of wear or degreasing. PREMEO PROTECT-S 3 based on a retaining ring is suitable for thin and light to medium-heavy materials and knitwear. The excellent form stability is guaranteed by the FlexFix® technology. Thanks to the material selection, there is no risk of cold welding when buttoning up.

The opening values may not change either as a result of wear or degreasing. PREMEO PROTECT-S 4 | 6 are centrally riveted for stronger and heavy fabrics and materials. The excellent form stability is guaranteed by the FlexFix® technology in two sizes. Thanks to the selection of materials, the risk of an extreme increase of the opening values (cold welding) is ruled out due to the complete regreasing process in industrial washing.
