FlexFix® WetStop® has been specially developed for waterproof clothing. As a further development of the conventional S-Spring system, the metal S-Spring in the FlexFix® series has been replaced by a high-tech plastic. This achieves an extremely high mechanical load-bearing capacity. Durability and constant opening values characterize this product. Up to 50,000 opening and closing cycles* can be carried out without any significant wear to the functional parts. In addition, there are different opening forces for comfortable fastening depending on the application.

FlexFix® WetStop® in sizes DUP 4 and DUP 6 is made of brass and partly of polyoxymethylene (POM), is central riveting, self-piercing and can be processed manually, semi-automatically and fully automatically. For special requirements, this article is also available in stainless steel and is suitable for extreme mechanical conditions, such as industrial washing.

Function and advantages

The principle of a snap system is defined by the functionality of the socket. FlexFix® WetStop® is part of the FlexFix® series, in which a flexible high-tech plastic is integrated into the socket, which has spring-elastic properties.

This combination of metal calotte and plastic inlay is particularly dimensionally stable and can withstand high mechanical loads. When the stud is pressed into the socket (spring part), the flexible plastic inlay expands so that the head of the stud snaps comfortably into place and is perfectly enclosed. The watertight property is achieved by the special geometry of the socket and the additional sealing element of the stud. No pre-punching of the carrier material is required, which also guarantees the waterproofness.
