How to turn a Snap into a fashionable design accessory

While the functionality of the Snap is determined by the system’s Sockets and Studs, the Snap cap is primarily important for the look. There are virtually no limits to the design possibilities of Snap Caps. However, the material and the manufacturing process determine the technical feasibility. Below you will find an overview of the main design options. You can find an overview of our cap types and shapes here.

Material-specific design options

In principle, there are virtually no limits to the design options for Snap Caps. The material and the manufacturing process determine the technical realization.

Ex. Recessed embossed and round brushed
STAINLESS STEEL

  • Embossing of logos and textures or both combined (double layer)
  • Galvanic finishing (see separate color chart)

Ex. Deep embossed and matte/gloss effect
PLASTIC

  • Embossing logos or textures
  • Coloring the plastic granulate (masterbatch) according to the desired color
    such as RAL, Pantone or YKK
  • PVD coating on request (€€€)
  • Matte / Glossy Effect
  • Tampon print

Ex. Breakthrough / Cut-out
ZINC PRESSURE CASTING

  • Design of individual cap shapes and motifs, implants possible e.g.
    such as rhinestones, reflective foils, injections (epoxy resin), etc.
  • Diamond-cut look / Diamond-Cut (€€€)
  • Breakthrough / Cut-out
  • Galvanic finishing, lacquered surfaces (see separate color chart)
