The low-noise snap system FlexFix® product code DUP 40 offers optimum and secure functionality as well as an attractive design. The socket part of the system is an optimized further development of the classic and robust spring system. The implanted brass ring of the sockets, which can cause disturbing noises when moving, has been replaced in both systems by a high-quality, spring-elastic plastic inlay and ensures noiseless wearing. This can be vital for functional clothing and equipment for the authorities and military, but is also very advantageous for clothing and equipment for hunting, fishing or golf. The sporty look also scores points with workwear, sports and leisure wear, jeans clothing and leather goods. But this product also offers fashionable sophistication for technical applications.

The designer fastening system is part of the FlexFix® series, which guarantees extremely high mechanical strength. Dimensional stability, durability and constant opening values characterize this product. Up to 50,000 opening and closing cycles can be carried out without any significant wear to the functional parts. Depending on the application, there are also different opening forces for an even more convenient fastening.

FlexFix® product code DUP 40 is fastened with a post, which allows a wide range of snap caps and design options. This fastening system also has waterproof properties when combined with a suitably waterproof cap. If particularly torsion-resistant components are required, the visually related FlexFix® with Two Prong DUP 5 system is recommended. Both systems stand out thanks to the colorful accents of the plastic inlay. Numerous other design options, such as painting, electroplating and embossing, make both FlexFix® systems a design highlight.

In combination with a waterproof snap cap, FlexFix® DUP 40 becomes a WetStop® and thus achieves a watertightness of 0.3 bar. This corresponds to a water column of 3m.

AcroPlating® is a new, pioneering electroplating process for reducing environmentally harmful substances, energy and water.

Function and advantages

The principle of a snap system is defined by the functionality of the socket. In the FlexFix® series, a flexible high-tech plastic with spring-elastic properties is integrated into the socket.

This combination of metal calotte and plastic inlay is particularly stable, quiet and can withstand high mechanical loads. When the stud is pressed into the socket (spring part), the flexible plastic inlay expands so that the head of the stud snaps comfortably into place and is perfectly enclosed. This fastener is just as easy to open again.
