The low-noise snap system FlexFix® product code DUP 5 offers optimum and secure functionality as well as an attractive design. The socket part is an optimized further development of the classic and robust spring system. The implanted brass ring of the sockets, which can cause disturbing noises when moving, has been replaced by a high-quality, spring-elastic plastic inlay and ensures noiseless wearing. This can be vital for functional clothing and equipment for the authorities and military, but is also very advantageous for clothing and equipment for hunting, fishing or golf. The sporty look also scores points with workwear, sports and leisure wear, jeans clothing and leather goods. But this product also offers fashionable sophistication for technical applications.

The designer fastening system is part of the FlexFix® series, which guarantees extremely high mechanical strength. These products are characterized by dimensional stability, durability and constant opening values. Up to 50,000 opening and closing cycles can be carried out without any significant wear on the functional parts. Depending on the application, there are also different opening forces for an even more convenient fastening.

FlexFix® product code DUP 5 is riveted with a two prong and is therefore particularly resistant to twisting (only compatible with snap caps with two prong). FlexFix® product code DUP 40 has the same look, but is fastened with a post, which allows a wide range of snap caps and design options. Both systems stand out thanks to the colorful accents of the plastic inlay. Numerous other design options, such as painting, electroplating and embossing, make both FlexFix® systems a design highlight.

Function and advantages

The principle of a snap system is defined by the functionality of the socket. In the FlexFix® series, a flexible high-tech plastic with spring-elastic properties is integrated into the socket.

This combination of metal calotte and plastic inlay is particularly stable, quiet and can withstand high mechanical loads. When the stud is pressed into the socket (spring part), the flexible plastic inlay expands so that the head of the stud snaps comfortably into place and is perfectly enclosed. This fastener is just as easy to open again.
