Function and advantages

The locking mechanism is created by connecting the socket and the stud, whereby the S-shaped wire of the socket is pushed out of the way when the stud is pushed in and encloses it when the stud snaps into place.

The cap and socket as well as the stud and post are each riveted centrally. Knitted and elastic fabrics are therefore only suitable to a limited extent, as the riveting creates a hole in the material, which can have a a negative effect on the durability of elastic fabrics.
