Hybrid Longlife system for industrial laundry

Snaps that are industrially washed must meet high requirements. This includes the high mechanical stress caused by intermittent dewatering presses. The opening values must not change due to wear or degreasing. FlexFix® KNIPPER™ on a serrated ring basis is suitable for thin and light to medium-weight fabrics and, depending on the combination, for knitted fabrics. The excellent dimensional stability is guaranteed by the plastic component of the FlexFix® series. The choice of material eliminates the risk of cold welding when the buttons are fastened.

Sustainability is that simple: originally developed for industrial washing, the high-end product has a long service life with constant opening values thanks to its dimensional stability, which also makes it ideal for technical applications.

This product is suitable for HACCP garments in combination with the new detectable socket.

Function and advantages

This snap system, part of the FlexFix® series, is particularly secure and gentle on the fabric thanks to its design. The five prongs anchor themselves in the fabric without damaging it. FlexFix® KNIPPER™ is particularly suitable for stretchy and/or lighter fabrics. There are two different ball variants for the special socket with plastic component: (a) Ring stud with serrated ring and
b) Post eyelet with post. The combination of stud and serrated ring is recommended for knitted fabrics.

Unlike the KNIPPER™ product code DUA 36, the FlexFix® series does not have any sensitive lamellar spring segments, but instead is given its spring properties by an elastic plastic inlay, which is securely encased in stainless steel and is therefore particularly pressure-resistant. When the stud is inserted into the socket, it is securely enclosed by the spring-elastic and thermostable plastic core. Fastening systems from the FlexFix® series guarantee 50,000 opening and closing cycles without significant wear.

The flat appearance, low weight and smooth fastener offer a wide range of possibilities. The individual system components can be combined in different ways depending on the intended use. Discover, for example, the compatible NAMEBAGDE system, which allows name badges to be replaced permanently, securely and conveniently.
